What it is

The classic 14-inch round chrome air cleaner for a four-barrel carburetor, with Edelbrock's washable element rather than a throwaway paper filter. A 14 × 3 element flows enough for a healthy small or big block without the hood clearance problems of taller units, and the stamped base has knock-outs for a PCV or breather adapter.

Fits

Four-barrel carburetors with the standard 5-1/8-inch neck, which is nearly all of them. Check hood clearance: stock height lid. Electric-choke carburetors need a short spacer so the lid clears the choke housing; manual-choke carbs with a hose-fed choke use the banjo fitting instead (both sold separately).

Installation

Set the base on the carb, element, lid, tighten the wing nut by hand. Wash the element in warm soapy water when dirty and oil lightly if it is the cotton type.
