Description

What it is

The replacement thermocouple for Edge's EAS EGT kit. The probe lives in the exhaust manifold or downpipe and eventually fails or snaps; Edge sells it with a short 15-inch lead so you replace just the probe and plug the lead back into the EAS module instead of rewiring the whole kit.

Fits

Edge CS, CTS, CS2, CTS2 and CTS3 monitors already running the EAS EGT accessory (kit 98620). It is not a complete kit: if you do not have the EAS module and cable, buy 98620.

What's in the box

One probe with 15" lead and connector.

Installation

Remove the old probe from its 1/8" NPT bung (anti-seize on the new threads), thread the new probe in, route the lead and plug it into the EAS module. 15 minutes if the bung is accessible.

Why Edge

Only the Edge probe plugs into the Edge module; a generic thermocouple will not. Keeping the modular EAS design means a $-level repair instead of a kit.
