What it is

SPAL's 10-inch straight-blade puller, one of the most common auxiliary fans in the hobby: compact enough for an intercooler or a narrow radiator, strong enough at 1,100 CFM to handle cooling on a small-displacement engine or to supplement a mechanical fan. The paddle blade is louder than SPAL's curved blade but moves more air at the same size.

Fits

Universal. Needs roughly 11 × 12 inches of face area and 3.8 inches of clearance between core and engine. Puller configuration: it mounts on the engine side of the core. Use a relay and a thermostatic switch or controller; SPAL recommends a 20 A circuit for this fan.

Fan assembly with motor and shroud ring, pigtail leads. Mounting brackets, relay and wiring are separate.

Installation

Mount with SPAL fan brackets or a custom shroud (never through-core zip ties on an aluminum radiator), wire through a relay with a thermostatic switch, fuse at 20 A. One to two hours.
