Turbosmart TS-0223-1093 Kompact EM Dual Port VR10 Blow-Off Valve – Mini Cooper S & JCW R55/R56/R57 1.6T (N14/N18)

What it is

A billet replacement for the factory electronic diverter valve on the turbo Mini 1.6. The stock valve uses a plastic body and diaphragm that leaks boost as it ages; the Kompact EM keeps the factory solenoid control so the ECU sees nothing different, but moves the air with a machined piston that seals at higher boost. The dual-port version vents some air to atmosphere for the audible release and recirculates the rest so the engine does not run rich on lift-off.

Fits

Mini Cooper S and JCW R55, R56 and R57 (2007–2015) with the N14 or N18 1.6L turbo. Turbosmart also lists the PSA 1.6 THP engines (Peugeot 207/308 RCZ, Citroën DS3) on the same valve. Not for the later F56 2.0 (B48), which uses a different Turbosmart part.

Installation

Unplug and unbolt the factory valve from the turbo/charge pipe, bolt this one in its place, plug in. 30–45 minutes; no tuning. Choose plumb-back if you want stock quietness.
