Description
What it is
ACL's competition-grade tri-metal rod bearing for the HR-generation VQ: a thinner, harder overlay than a stock bearing so it resists fatigue at high rpm and load, with crush and chamfers tuned for performance oil flow. Uncoated, which some builders prefer because clearances are read exactly off the bearing.
Fits
VQ35HR and VQ37VHR engines (2007 and later 350Z, 370Z and the Infiniti G/Q/EX/FX/M range with these engines). Not for the pre-2007 VQ35DE (ACL 6B2640H) and not confirmed for the VR30DDTT. Standard size: measure the crank.
What's in the box
Twelve shells for six rods, standard size.
Installation
Check clearance with plastigauge or a bore gauge to ACL's spec, assembly lube, new rod bolts, torque-to-angle. Engine-apart job.
