Allstar Performance ALL26805 Flexplate, 168-Tooth Steel – Small & Big Block Chevy, Internal Balance, 2-Piece Rear Main Seal

What it is

The plain-steel replacement flexplate for the most common Chevy V8 combination: an internally balanced engine with the two-piece rear main seal, in front of a TH350, TH400 or 700R4. Neutral balance means no weight on the plate; the crank carries it.

Fits

Pre-1986 small blocks (265, 283, 302, 305, 307, 327, 350) and the internally balanced big blocks (396, 402, 427) with a 2-piece seal. The 400 small block and the 454 are externally balanced and need weighted plates (ALL26806/26810 and ALL26820). 1986+ one-piece-seal engines use a different offset.

Installation

Bolt to the crank flange with new bolts and thread locker, confirm the converter bolt pattern, check starter engagement. 30 minutes with the transmission out.
